Team Report 12-07-04

Posted December 7, 2004 by éS

Eric Koston recently took a weekend trip to San Francisco with fellow éS team rider P.J. Ladd for a Fourstar ad shoot. You may ask yourself, will P.J. stand away from everyone else in the next Fourstar ad? Probably not. History doesn't repeat itself.

Justin Eldridge and Cale Nuske have teamed-up in the January 2005 issue of The Skateboard Mag. In the Black Out section, Cale takes over Atiba’s digi-cam to shoot a sequence of Justin performing a new high-tech maneuver, the elusive switch 5-0 flip-off, down the notorious LA High rail. Cale even gets the photo credits, so we now know that he may indeed have a bright future in skateboard photography ahead of him. (That is, if he can learn to keep his subject lined up in the frame).

Tom Penny is hanging out over in France for the holidays to visit his mother, skate some mini-ramps, and meet up with Javier Sarmiento, Rodrigo Tx., and the rest of the éS crew in Spain this January.Tom wants you to go buy his new Penny 2 shoe available in fine skate shops everywhere.

Meanwhile, back at the ranch (or at least up in Canada), Rick McCrank is still waiting to see if his indie film project, Ethan and Elliot, will win the $100,000 development prize at the Sundance Film Festival. He partnered up with AntiSocial video editor Ben Wagner to create this 20-minute flick about two guys discovering life their own special way. I’m still waiting for a copy myself, so we’ll post more news on the film soon.
