This weekend at Kostons private warehouse, Bobby Worrest showed up and threw down some amazing tech skills. The session was a heated one. The one thing we noticed is that most of the dudes there were wearing the Accelerate. Any of you try this shoe yet? What do you think? Koston said he liked the feel, and the full gel made a difference. Like, Whoa!

The accelerates are sick shoes for kickin it in, i think they are to heavy to skate in, the brown and white ones are the sickest i think the normal accels are the ones to skate in. you guys shouldnt hate on sean, hes allowed to voice his opinion too, just because it isnt the same as yours you shouldnt call him names and shit
my friend micah, he got them shoes and in two weeks both shoes blew out. the gel was blown out. this happened after he skated the double in fort smith indoor park. bad ass park. you can press on the outsole and its easy to push in. he still likes the shoe but theres no protection anymore. he'll buy more cus the full impact g2 helped him.
i have the black and white accelerates. its alright i guess. my favorite shoe. the protection is ok. i dont get heel bruises which is good. the shoe is awesome. lacing it like footballs make it look ugly.
clear soles are terrible, they look so weak and bad, the accelerates look sweet in the other colours though
Sean can say what he likes. We are down to hear the good and the bad. The Accel will never leave the line. In fact we improved the toe box and the mold so it's going to be even better. Cale loves the Accelerate to. We just got lunch and he was wearing them and talking about how good they are. He also blows them out mad quick but then again the dude is dropping off mad high shit.
We got some new goodies in the mix coming out that will get you stoked...don't you worry. We are shaking shit up here at éS. I just grabbed a pair of accelerates cause I never skated them yet so I'll let you know what I think...even though I can only do 9 tricks...hahahaha. Man I'm old.

ok I think the clear soles are alright I'd sport 'em I want 'em bad though. the ones pj wears in th Ad are cool I think I'll get those ones.And the disighners are sick the tech shoes are cool they don't make them look all spaced out, so its cool. They should get some full impact G2 but the shoes should be light and have the heel crach pad like the Contracts' and don't rip like EK-01s' . And still look preety cool Oh and 4 sure they have to say eS on the Tounge.
the blue sole isnt bad id wear them for sure. right now my friend has the brown and white accelerates and he loves em but i got my eye on the accel plus because i can get them cheaper and whats not to like? accel + g2 + strap = the money. but i know i will eventually get some accelerates too. im ridin the contracts right now and they are good cause their light and have good flick.
You guys put an ankle strap on the accelerate and you will have the perfect shoe, eS Accelerate brown/tan are probably my next shoes.
The accelerate's are butter, and of course they are gonna blow out fast if you skate at least five hours a day everyday.es keep doing what your doing..because you guys are true to the game and don't have bikers or snow boarders on your team.

I've got the accel plus now. They're so rad to skate it. I really like the heel stabaliser, it feels like you have so much more balance with in. The only problem is the nose wears down pretty quick where it flips the board.
!!! IF POSSIBLE you guys at es have to put some hard plastic on the nose of the accels. I love EVERYTHING about the shoe expect that the ollie area wears out quick. Look at the material they use on the nose of the Adio kenny andersons v1. Put that same plastic on the nose of the accel plus and it is literally the most perfect skate shoe ever invented. PLEASE!

I just bought the Accelerate last weekend, and these shoes made more of a difference than any shoe I have ever worn. I was just trying to get used to the shoes with some flip tricks and I landed a switch varial heel, I had been trying the trick for a while with the accel plus, but I could never even set it down. Also, I was skating at this gap called Hilton and it is like 6 feet tall but not very long at all. I kicked out when I went to ollie it first try but when I fell on the groud my feet did not feel shit, then I landed it next try and kick fliped that son of a bitch.
I love the accelerates but make more colors for them and never stop making accels

dude, ES is seriously the BEST shoe company for skateboarding. Most of their shoes are tech designed and built for endurance. The Accel Series is by far the best skate shoe I have ever used. Everytime I get new shoes for skating, which is about every 2 months, I buy accels. Yet I've only used the Black/Gum color, and the tan/gold color. I've had the Black/Red Accel plus, and many other accels. I'm looking forward to trying out the new Accelerates. the brown and whites are so freakin sick! Can't wait to try those out! the blue gum color is awesome. it's unique, unlike all the other boring shoe companies out there, like Fallen and Circa. BOO!!! Up with ES! Ese!

I have the black/blues and they are really good. I killed my heels skating in the Reynolds 3s and the accelerates have helped my feet heal. I just hope the full impact doesn't die as quick as normal g2.

Brendan- I don't think the clear sole lasts any longer than a gum sole. We have been running all sorts of test on them and it seems to be the same.The sole does discolor but not horrible to the point where you like, "fuck this shoe is ugly". We are doing tests now to make sure the clear soles don't change color. All soles get dirty and turn colors eventually. You gotta watch what DC says. Those dudes are the kings of claiming shit, We actually have been running test on their kicks and a lot of the shit they say isn't all that they are claiming. In the end it's up to you dudes to call people out.
PJ's first shoe is pretty awesome. It's real clean and looks banging. We've even started on his second shoe. I'll see if PJ wants to talk on here...he likes to keep a low profile though as I'm sure you all know

the accel are great but i'm obligate to buy a new pair a month cause the sole is always fucking scrap. Please stop trying to find new colorway and just put a better sole. Think quality first
Billy Bob- We are in the process of developing longer lasting soles that still grip and allow you to have the board feel.
That sucks they tear for you quickly Eric L. We could put rubber toe caps on but those suck...no board feel, to slippery etc etc. If you are ripping them fast try putting crazy glue on just the stitches. Before I started working at éS I use to do that to my shoes and it made them last longer. You can also use shoe goo but that shit makes your shoes all jacked looking

I'd be friggin thrilled if these are synthetic, but at the same time: shoe companies need to get with the program and stop making their only synthetic colorways all black. There's no reason why you can't make an all synthetic shoe that is just as stylish as a leather/suede model. Look at Fallen for proof.

g2 in the heel alone is all you need, but this is probally way better. i bet it makes skating big stuff like skating small stuff and skating small stuff like skating flatground and skating flat ground like skating on pillows, and skating on pillow like, well nobody skates on pillows.

Mojo- You are right about the clear soles getting a bit slippery but we only noticed it being slippery on super smooth concrete..kind of like the concrete at the Etnies skate park. On regular asphalt it held up good but of course it's not as good as traditional gum. We are making some new ones with just parts of it clear so it can remain grippy. The other Accelerate models are pretty grippy though. Bobby Worrest has been running the blue clear ones and PJ was running the all white ones for a minute. Most of the dudes have been rocking the black white ones. We finalized some new colors for 06 and I think 06 is the year we start snapping necks in the skate shoe world.
Clay- The k6.5 is just a mid top with a thinner tongue and some nicer leather. Eric wanted a mid/high top shoe for a bit more support and of course style. The difference is in the styling. Eric wanted you dudes to have options. If I'm not to busy today I'll take some pics and put them up for you to check. We are still working on some minor details but so far they are banging.
Synthetics- We are working on more synthetics or at least offering one synthetic in each shoe. Most synthetics look like shit though. Not to talk shit but Fallen kicks look mad budget and they are so basic. We've tried numerous synth' colors but they just come off looking super cheap and they don't last long. We'll get it dialed though. 06 is our year fellas' and the colors/materials we are making are amazing..you'll be stoked.

Craig, I'm not sure what your definition of "mad budget" is exactly. I've only skated the Rivals (2 pairs), but those things have been some of the best shoes I've ever had (which I never thought I'd say about a shoe coming through DC). I started taking a towel with me when I wore the brown/chocolate pair, since there would always end up being kids drooling over them. I'm anxious for the new Fallen lineup because I know Jamie is going to offer me more than another computer help-desk steez colorway to skate and chill in.
So yeah, it's great that éS has more synthetics planned. And if you think that what you've got planned beats what else is out there, then that's all the better. But you've got to come correct with some real colorways this time. Don't take that as a diss, either. Take it as a challenge.
Tips- All good. "Mad budget" refers to the cheap materials, the budget look and the crappy feel and the blown out last (foot shape). I hate talking shit and I try not to but them shits are just direct bites off of other tried and true skate shoes but lack the quality. Jamie is awesome and the shit he does is awesome. I'm just saying the shoes are junk and bring nothing new to the table. It's all good and I can care less what the others are doing out there. The colors/fabrics will be amazing for 06..you'll see. I just got here and the shit we are running for the new kits are going to crush heads...believe that.

Wouter- No filming goes down at the warehouse but www.skatefairy.com might still have a clip from the early days when MJ, Eric and some others shredded it up. They just built some new obstacles that are straight up amazing and so much fun. Berra is part owner of the place and I know DVS has been shooting photos there for a catalog so you might be able to see some flicks from it soon-
Full lace protectors are always a nice option to have, thought most of the time I don't use them. But hell, throw them in there, what can it hurt?

about synthetic shoes looking bad, all i have to say is rowley. every single one of his shoes have been 100% synthetic in every colorway, and they have been some of the most poular shoes out there. i really don't care tht they don't last long by themselves 'cause when you put some super glue on them at the high-wear areas, and it seriously lasts forever. i'm all good as long as you've got some synthetic colorways on the line, you guys are doing a lot better than most shoe companies are

The Accelerates are definitly a tight shoe...without a doubt. I really like the new insoles and the full gel part in the sole...no hurt feet after skating long hours...like in a pair of blown out Accels...Don't get me wrong, I'm not knockin' the Accels, they 're my fav sk8 shoe until now since they got competition from the Accelerate. Anyway, for eS...you guys keep up the excellent work making great products, and for the team, you guys are inspiring and I think the best in skateboarding ...TONS of talent...can't wait fot the new vid!!!!!! accelerates are great shoes, they've got more support so my arches don't kill me after a while. I'll definitely be picking up another pair. accels are all I skate nowadays.

i just got the blak/white accelerates and they r amazingly comfy and flexible also good board feel only flaw is that the white is leather instead of suede i would rather all suede but thats just me i give it an "A"

i havent skated the shoes yet, but they do look amazing, i bet skatin them is like butter.... full gel sounds real good too.... cause i remember when i had the normal accels i got MAD heel bruses like the first day.... thats the only beef i had with them... but ya, good colours too

i own accels and accelerats and bin sk8in em both they both have sum rele gd points, accelerates feel a little strange when u first sk8 em coz they dnt have much board feel but once u sk8 em 4 a while they r rele nice especialy when sk8in big drops or stairs. the accels are also great coz they r more raw and have more feel 2 em they r the best shoes ive ever sk8ed and es should never stop making em the reason i like em more athn the rates is coz you can actually feel the board and they just feel right when u r sk8in in em nothing is an effort.
dude seriously, when are you guys coming out with new colorways for the accelerates? most of these colors are sick like the brown tan, white red and blue black but there soles suck.i tried to ollie over this curb grass curb flat gap thing with the black and white ones and if slammed hella hard cuz the board came off my feet. make some with the gum sole that isnt synthetic cuz synthetic rips too fast

The Maccel comes out in June. Colorways are: Black/Dark Grey/Gum, Black/Orange/White, Navy/Grey and Brown/Tan.
When is the Accel Plus going to get the STI Foamâ„¢ Level 2 footbed cushioning system like the Accelerate, or is that just a fancy name for what's already in there?
The Accel Plus has the STI Foam footbed. Most of the new colorways should have it.
i think the accelerates are cool but they havnt got enuf board feel with the g2 gel and the sti foam....... the new accels with the sti foam and the g2 gel are cool but they feel loads nicer just with a normal accel insole in them more board feel but with a cusion so it stops heel bruise...... but the accelerates have notheing on the accels...

i've ordered a couple of shoes from there. get it for cheap! wasnt too pleased bout waitin a few weeks on my brown/gum accel plusses tho. according to UBS, eS ran out of em. i used to order off active but damn kid. damn near $70 for the accel plusses whats good with that? active carryin LRG, they needa get on the new shipment

i have never skated a pair of 'es. i have just been waiting for that right shoe to come out, i like a the features, when the AntiSocials come out i am getting those or the Maccels, those are fucking awsome. excuse my language for any little kids around. Hope the black/green/andwhite accelarates come soon

The shoe's sick, i agree that it needs an all black/gum colorway in a bad way. Although I feel like the black/white ones didn't blow out as fast as the all suede. i think the patches of leather, although they didn't affect the overall suede goodness grip of the shoe, i think they helped the shoe keep its shape.
I also think the tongue is a bit craze, the second pair i bought i halved the stuffing in the tongue and sewed it back up.
From a non functional standpoint, the shoe wouldn't hurt if it had some more interesting materials, perhaps snakeskin in the non functional areas and suede on the toecap/heel/ollie area (all black).
The Maccels look cool, it's funny how someone brought back the muska-like ollie guard.
maybe perforated leather to let the foot breathe, my feet get real heated from skating all day.
ive had accelerate brown/tan for about a month.
skate rad, real good board feel, and the heel bruises i got from two pairs of sal23s in a row are finally starting to stop hurting.
the accelerates are sick. I have'nt skated them yet but they look good and I've heard good things. What I really want to see is a gallery that shows all the colorways of the accels that there are and ever have been. That would be sick.
At this point they should just make it so you can custom order accels in any colorway or material you want online.

Yeah they are pretty cool dont like the sole though not that off blue shit it sucks get that out and make them black and gum thats the way to go.
damn, i'm probably real late with it but i jus checked out the maccel.. yo eS is gettin pretty tech if you ask me. idk, i'm more fond of the simpler designs.
are the Maccels suppused to be like a upgrade of the Accels because they look a lot a like and if you think of the name it sounds like its suggesting the Accels are MAXED out also called MACCELS, just an opinion or thought. And the cool thing is the first color they are coming out with is my favorite color, Orange and Black.
We like to have a couple tech shoes in the line up for the people that like that kind of design. But I think we have a pretty good balance between simple and tech to keep most of you guys happy.
