It's weird how tech shoes were back in like 2000 and then to look at them 5 years later now there all simple and generic looking they are. I think it's kinda sad cause most companies all have similar designs and junk, I still can't figure out what brought on this whole wave of simple generic shoe...

I find older skate shoes kinka look like teched out running shoes, like Lakai and eS, but now these days, skate shoes clearly have their own unique style. When did the EOS come out? I still have no idea what that shoe was.

I just watched Menikmati for the first time in ages. Such a classic. Thanks éS. As for the shoes the current line is far supreme compared to the older ones.
I've been skating 'eS for 9 years, from the very start. The first two pairs were the SLB and the Uno. I've always trusted and loved these shoes. Trends come and go. The tech shoes were nice but trust what 'eS is putting out. The Penny 2 is an amazing shoe. The Penny 2 low top should be nice as well. Remember, it's about the skating, the culture, and the love of what you do. 'eS embodies all of these things.

Koston said that this guy Alex Wise designed his Koston3 model but Koston sadi that he got the sketch back and he changed a lots of stuff in the shoe

I just bought the accelerates and they feel pretty good. They have a different shape to em compared to the accel. More space, a bit wider. Should skate pretty good, they look sick.

i got menikmati on dvd a year ago. i was so lucky to get it cause you cant find it anywhere anymore. i thoroughly enjoy watching it.
on a completely different subject, i've also noticed, with just about everyone else, that over the past five years, the design in skate shoes has become more toned down and more basic. One good example is the Emerica Reynolds line. His first model had the airbag, rubber toecap, and plenty of other features. it looked damn good on top of that. then its starts to become more simple with his second model and then his third model comes around and it looks like a damn converse all-star with no padding or hardly any protection. i guess what im trying to get at is that there wasn't reallly anything wrong with having "teched out" shoes and that you should start to make them again.
alright, after looking at those shoes at the top they don't look so great, i just really liked the Reynolds 1. it was what i had in mind when i thought of a tech shoe, not those puffy moon shoes.

i think there a new shoe era coming or its already started and i think its the simple shoe era. all the shoes at skateshops look almost the same as the other. theres usually no kind of special features that sets them apart from appearance.now all you see is one colored shoes that almost looks the same as the other. atleast that what i think.
Koston 6 high sounds nasty I thought they were called K 6.5? When did the k6 come out I saw this one pic on the web and the K6 had a different design than the current one it was kind of strange, itwas when the K5 and EK-01 were still around. Yeah for sure nowadays skate shoes are all the same and they all are either grey, brown, black or white. Even shirts and skate clothes in general are all plain and ugly it is hard to find clothes that stand out anymore. I loved all the crazy designs and colorways that companies Like Es, Axion, Dc and Dvs had back then my favs were the the Daewon3's the Schemes, and the Red Josh Kalis's

why is the accelarate the only shoe with system g2 full impact and why does my pair and every one elses bottom sole puff up after a while
The "simple" skate shoes as they've been called on this message board have all been 'es clones. 'eS still is the best, no matter if they're tech or classic. If you don't like tech shoes, go to DC. They're more than happy to take your dollar for some nasty copies of current Nike and Reebok styles.

yeah, that happened to my accelerates too- the grip pealed off the insole, so it was extra bubbly. but it was only on my left shoe. es needs a shoe that is simple but doesnt have an eva midsole- the maccel and cramer are too puffy. something like rey2 where its polyurethane midsole but simple

Tom Penny, by far, is the best skater on eS. He doesn't enter contests, he has no need for them. All he does is skate for himself. He's an enigma, but that's what makes him so great. I saw him skating once in Europe and that was the best part of the trip. He's like the white whale, so elusive yet so amazing when you see him.
i noticed that in all of the es blogs every one is talking about how we all cant find all these classic shoes that we all know and love so yesterday i was in my mall and i saw a store called extremes (a ghetto fabooolous store) so i walked in and saw some shoes that looked like classic skate shoes so i walked over and saw a whole array of reynolds ones k3,s as well as many other classic skate shoes which seems very odd 1 the fact that they had the shoes and how they got them and 2 y they had them because thats there market of shoes

All you guys are saying shoes today are so generic and that way back shoes used to be different and distinguished. Look at the chart of shoes up at the top. Now forget the colours, and just imagine sihlouettes. They all have virtually the exact same shape and dimensions. The only one that is signifigantly different it the K3.

my guess is it would be the angle of the shot and you just can't see the fifth. But I have an ad with Paul Rodriguez introducing the Accel Plus and it's the exact same colorway and you can see all the eyelets. Maybe that pic is a prototype accel plus?

Alex - The sole on the Anti-Social is just a regular Accel sole. But we are designing a sole just for the Anti-Socail as we speak.
Cory - I think Koston has on some tan/gum Accels.
Sean - It the first shoe to have Full Impact G2. Other shoes could end up with it too.

Penny is an enigma. He doesn't need to follow in the steps of self-promoting skaters. He does what he wants when he wants and when he wants to skate, it's a eautiful thing to watch. He is absolutely amazig. I've been following that cat since 1996. Never get tired of Tom Penny. He's a true legend.

Here's some fun trivia about the Koston 3 ad pictured above. Eric wasn't wearing Koston 3's when he shot that photo. The art dudes (I think it was Ako Jefferson) had to photoshop the K3's on Koston's feet. They did I good job. You only really noticed it if you look hard enough. Take a look for yourself.

The "Flik" is great the "Antisocial" too but the ones that beat them all is the Brown/white K6 the K7´s the Accel with the alligator skin and the Penny 2 lo brown white.
