Better late than never! Boost Mobile just posted up four video clips from the éS Game of SKATE Pro Finals at the ASR trade show back on September 11, 2005. The clips include the following clashes of the titans: Jim Bates vs. Eric Koston, Mike Chapaldi vs. Billy Marks, Chico Brenes vs. Eric Koston and Jimmy Carlin vs. Jim Bates.
Highlights include Koston clowning around and Bates constantly clutching his good luck charm water bottle throughout all of his runs.

hey it would be a good idea to launch some dvd including all the matches from the past games of skate, it would be a hit! i love watching all the clips i've found on the net and im sure a lot of people also do.

Koston fucked up some easy things and that's his own problem but Jim Bates did a few things that should not have counted... like when he lands a trick but then pivots the rest of the way, I can't believe they let that slide.

hey, whoevers watched the game of skate clip they had on transworld back in september. The guy against jim bates in the finals has a real good PJ Ladd style, kinda looks like him to. makes you think.
Does Koson suck at flatground or something? i haven't seen much of his flatground, but he missed some of the tricks i would think he would make. Are tkse dickies he is wearing? they look good, i haven't worn any since like 7th grade... and what fit wold those be?
koston would have no problem whatsoever annihalating almost anyone in the universe in s.k.a.t.e., so if you were in that position, would you take the competition seriously, when youd know that its too easy anyway?

I agree with rph too. The only guys who could really stand up to Koston in a game-of-skate would be Mike Carroll, P.J Ladd,Brian Anderson, Chris Cole, and Bryan Herman.

Mike Bates looked like he had no idea where the hell he was, or what he was doing. Clearly he wasn't giving that much effort, hence the rolling of most of his tricks.. and of course, the water bottle in his hand.
He's proving the world that he has the tricks, and doesn't need to pop them any higher than the next guy from them to count.
Congrats to him for winning.
