This is the only photo we got at the Krooked preimere. Jay's camera broke. :0(
Rick McCrank has been busy lately overhauling his life-size Tech Deck in preparation for the upcoming Summer contest season. Let's hope he gets it primed in time to display some serious hand / eye coordination for the masses. Until then, be sure to check Rick out in a Matix spread in the June 2006 issue of Slap.
Rodrigo Tx. is over in Spain with the Flip guys, taking care of various and sundry photo and filming needs for Flip and éS. Look for Tx. uncharacteristically flippin' you the bird in a Flip ad in all the mags.
P.J. Ladd was spotted recently up in San Francisco, helping FTC skate shop celebrate their millionth anniversary party.
Cale Nuske is back down in Australia, getting his fish on with the ICCC.
Javier Sarmiento has been getting his skyscraper on in New York with the Volcom crew, where they've encountered a lion's share of rainy days. Just who this lion is, we're not exactly sure. Javi's lifelong dream of visiting the Queen's Bridge area of Brooklyn and running into Mobb Deep might actually have just been crushed. Despite that, Javi and crew have been squeezing some skate time in between all the happy little raindrops.
Nyjah Huston recently clocked a few dozen tricks a day in Denver, Colorado for a hearty crew of photographers and filmers. Can you hear that new éS video sizzling? Nyjah also just racked up three pages in an Element tour article in the May 2006 issue of Slap.
Silas Baxter-Neal is back from Japan, where he spent some time with good friend Kent Goto and filmer Brennan, capturing some stupendous stuntplanking shenanigans. Can you say YéS!? We can. Silas has been killin' it in the coverage department lately, too, with a spread in TransWorld Skateboarding's 2006 Photo Book and a two-page "Sightings" in their May 2006 issue, a spread in a "Not Another Barcelona Article" and a Habitat ad in the June 2006 issue of Slap, and last but not least, a one-page interview in a "When Ams Attack" article in The Skateboard Mag Issue 28.
Another batch of congratulations is in order for éS flow rider Bobby Worrest for his amazing part in the new Krooked video, Krooked Kronicles. Don't be an illegal burnin' or downloadin' cheapskate, go buy a copy at a shop right now.
éS flow rider Mike Barker was recently spotted rockin' a spread in a "Tapping the Rockies" article in the May 2006 issue of Skateboarder.
Congratulations to éS flow rider Justin Schulte for comin' up in the Tech division of Automatic magazine's Battle of the Shops and winning a grand. Don't spend it all in one place, Justin…unless you're in Tampa.
Speaking of Justins, Mr. Eldridge himself has been out and about with Scuba Steve, getting their film on around Los Angeles for the rapidly approaching YéS! video. éS and Val Surf are throwing Justin a private Theory shoe release party in early June. Look for some spry snappies from that special occasion here on the site soon.
