éS Game of SKATE Valley Village, California Report

Posted July 4, 2006 by éS

Yet another heated battle transpired on Wednesday, June 21--also known as Go Skateboarding Day--at Val Surf in Valley Village, California during stop number four of the world-renowned éS Game of SKATE 2006 Amateur Series, presented by Boost Mobile. Representing hard for the high desert, Pharmacy Boardshop rocked their team van all the way down from Victorville with a full posse in tow and ended up bringing home the bacon. Legendary SoCal mainstay Hime Herbert emceed the event and supplied his signature antics throughout the day.

éS Team Manager Jay Maldonado helped out with the judging, along with éS Art Director Matt Willigan and éS Domestic Sales Manager David Cooper...not to mention celebrity judge / éS team rider Justin Eldridge. The Val Surf crew provided a great venue and kept the crowd of 300-plus in check. The Finals gave a good glimpse of how heated things will get in San Diego in this coming September. Pros beware! In the final elimination, Pharmacy's Josh Grossguth took out Chris Mendez, who had been a crowd favorite throughout the day. We would like to thank everyone at Val Surf and all of the skaters who came out to support the éS Game of SKATE on Go Skateboarding Day.
