Let's talk about your éS Anti-Social shoe. Which past shoes (or anything else) inspired or influenced your design?
The Accel, with a new vibe.
Did your shoe go through many major changes, or did you have a strong idea of what you wanted from the start?
Nothing major, just little touches. It was great from the start.
How long did you work on designing and refining it?
Six months to a year.
Did you design your shoe yourself? Who helped?
Franck Boistel and Trevor Hill.
Which éS riders skated in your shoe during the testing period?
The kids in the neighborhood.
What kind of feedback did they give?
Really loud and distorted. Just kidding. Positive.
What, if anything, inspired or influenced your choice of colorways?
Being colorblind.
Will we ever see any special fabrics or patterns on your shoe in the future?
Yes, you will, the specialest--including canvas and animal-friendly synthetics.
What kind of colorways will we see on your shoe in the future?
For Holiday 2006, there's a new Navy Gum, Black White Royal and a Black Black White synthetic.
How has the reaction to your shoe been so far from those who've skated it?
Positive and the such.
Does it skate good?
The best.
Are you happy with the way your shoe turned out?
Completely happy.
