Mystery Man.

This was just part of the huge, throbbing crowd.

Andrew Smith.

After a record-setting number of éS Games of SKATE around the world over the summer, the series came to a head at the éS Game of SKATE 2007 World Championships, presented by Boost Mobile, on Saturday, September 8 at the Action Sports Retailer trade show in San Diego, California.

Big-ups to Reel Comp, who shouted out a live Webcast to y'all.

Spencer B.

From 1:00 to 5:00 p.m., some of the best amateur and pro skaters in the world strutted their stuff on the smooth floor of the San Diego Convention Center. The bleachers and crowd were more swollen than ever, yet the evnt ran more efficiently. And for the first time, the whole shebang was streamed live on the Web courtesy of Reel Comp.

Clockwise from top left: Peter Ramondetta, Nyjah Huston, Adelmo Jr., Chris Cole.

Alex Mizurov.

From 1:00 to 3:00, the top 32 amateurs from North, Central and South America, Australia, New Zealand, Asia and Europe battled it out. Strong contenders included Mark Sucui from San Jose, California; Cody Sosebee from Atlanta, Georgia; Carlos Lastra from Mesa, Arizona; Andrew Smith from Denver, Colorado and last year's champion, Alex Mizurov from Germany.

Pat Chanita.

A bunch of really intense games transpired, with some competitors matching each other for 10-plus straight moves. Although some of his rivals managed to tag him with SKAT, trickbot Alex Mizurov bounced back, flipped the consistency switch on and claimed the top spot for the second year in a row.

Mike Mo Capaldi.

Nyjah Huston.

Bryan Herman.

Next up at 3:00, it was time for the pros to show what mind-boggling flatground tricks they know. Likely candidates for a win included Sierra Fellers, Javier Sarmiento, Danny Garcia, Chris Cole and Mike Mo Capaldi.

Danny Garcia.

Brandon Biebel.

Febreze: a breath of fresh air.

The final match-up between Chris Cole and Nyjah Huston was pretty intense, as the two trickmeisters matched each other move after move. In the end, though, with both skaters poised precariously at SKAT, Chris Cole claimed the oversized $10,000 check with a backside 360 kickflip.

Dylan Rieder.

The Mule.

Javier Sarmiento.

We'd like to send out a huge thank you to Boost Mobile, TransWorld Skateboarding, Nixon, SKF and Jessup; plus everyone at éS Footwear and all of the pros and ams who entered all of the games this season for making 2007 the biggest and best year yet for the éS Game of SKATE. Get ready for 2008!
