2007: éSpecial!

Posted January 7, 2008 by éS

This is an update of the éS Timeline.

Longtime éS filmer Scuba Steve becomes the official éS Team Manager and promptly scores his very own colorway of the Accel.

éS amateurs Bobby Worrest, Raymond Molinar and Silas Baxter-Neal turn pro.

Silas wastes no time earning a stack of coverage throughout the year, including Skateboarder, Thrasher and TransWorld Skateboarding's 2008 Buyer's Guide interviews--not to mention a TWS cover. Rodrigo Tx. and Raymond Molinar each get The Skateboard Mag interview treatment, while Rick McCrank graces the cover of Color for the second time.

The éS team tours their asses off, embarking on the Don't Mess With éS! filming trip through Texas and another untitled jaunt through Hawaii; followed by their 757 Tour through New York, New Jersey, Pennsylvania and Maryland; and the éS a la Carte Europe Tour through Germany, Italy, the United Kingdom and Poland.

The team also takes time out during their busy travels to visit Take éS to Your Spots! contest winners Dany Rodney Mendoza in Peru and Lukasz Winter in Poland.

éS debuts their long-awaited second video, a full-length promo called éSpecial, right after the éS Game of SKATE 2007 World Championships at the Action Sports Retailer trade show.

éS takes the third annual GvR contest by storm, as Rick McCrank and éS flow rider Luan di Oliveira lead the Regular team to victory, Rick is crowned Regular MVP, and Nyjah Huston is named second MVP of the Goofies. Nyjah follows it up with a character in the brand-new Tony Hawk’s Proving Ground video game.

éS offers three limited-edition collaborations: Rick McCrank's Norton + Girl and Avers + Girl shoes and Justin Eldridge’s Theory Mid Chocolate shoe.

éS offers four limited-edition collections, including the Rooftop Garden Collection, featuring scuffed-up suede and leathers with silky, flowery linings; the Woodland Collection, featuring nice tan garment leathers and brown full-grain leathers; the butterfly-inspired Monarch Collection; and the warm sherpa lining and water-resistant Climate Control Collection.

The éS Spring line adds Rick McCrank’s fourth éS pro model skate shoe, the Norton; Danny Garcia's first-ever, the Danny Garcia and Danny Garcia Hi; plus the Arklow, the Ashford, the Jasper and the Prequel. The Fall line adds Rodrigo Tx.'s third éS shoe, a designed-by model called the Cassette and the Cassette Mid; plus the Inlet and the Scale, the world's lightest technical skate shoe. The Holiday line adds Rick’s fifth éS pro model, the Avers; plus a high-tech version of the Accel called the Accel TT.
