Think three-way and a unique collaboration between some of the biggest heavyweights in the streetwear game isn't typically the first thought that comes to mind. But that's exactly what is on offer from legendary skate company eS, Vancouver retailer Livestock and L.A brand on the rise, The Hundreds. The Boarder Control box set takes two sneakers from eS, namely the Theory Mid and Square One and lets Livestock and The Hundreds loose with their own design ideas respectively. Livestock take the eS Theory Mid and flips it creating a head-turning combination of flashy blue/pink and orange on the mid-top model and set the whole deal off with a forefroot strap and all terrain laces for those late night boarding sessions. The Hundreds take a more considered approach to their offering with a subtle black on black colourway all highlighted by the sheer premium quality of the materials used. Necks are guaranteed to break on the roll past. The set is extremely limited with only 500 available worldwide and is one of the most sort after skate sets dropped this year. You know what to do.
Happy Thanksgiving from all of us at éS! and don't miss these signings if you are in the area this weekend!
éS x Adrian Blanca Traveling Art Exhibition Tour Wrap-up!
Eight countries, 5,000 eyes, hundreds of paint brushes, thousands of hours of painting, 6,500 glasses of Sangria and beer, 3,000 tapas and almost 7,000 miles later, the éS Adrian Blanca Traveling Art Exhibition has come to an end.
For the last three months, Adrian Blanca has been on a whirlwind art tour to celebrate his collaboration with éS. At each tour stop, spectators were able to watch Adrian create his visual madness live with permanent installations fashioned in all eight locations: One Off in Stockholm, Arrival departure in Amsterdam, Slam City Skates in London, Street Machine in Paris, Fish and Chips in Antwerp, Doubleight in Munich and the éS showroom in Barcelona. The tour finally concludes on US soil at the éS Showroom in New York City.
Hand-drawn éS kicks!
Adrian first picked up a skateboard in the mid-'90s, and this love for skateboard culture can be seen in his incredibly intricate drawings that he has created over the years for a number of influential magazines and prominent galleries in Europe. A true fan of éS for years—in particular the Accel, which he has used on numerous occasions as a canvas for his art—it came as no surprise that Adrian chose to launch his collection with the Acell TTL and TT Deluxe.
Live art by Adrian!
The éS x Adrian Blanca exhibition is open daily from 12:00 p.m. – 5:00 p.m. and runs thru Friday November 21, 2008 at the éS Showroom on 29 Greene St. in NYC.
