In celebration of Go Skateboarding Day’s 20th anniversary, éS has released the Accel OG X 405 FWY, a special limited-edition colorway honoring the iconic 405 Freeway in Southern California and the rich skateboarding heritage it represents. This shoe is more than just a tribute – it’s a piece of skate history. The tonal grey suede upper mirrors the concrete highways that connect skaters from city to city, with a direct nod to the famous photo of Don Brown skating the 405 Freeway, which inspired the design.

The insole is uniquely printed with imagery of the 405 Freeway, allowing you to carry a part of skateboarding’s history beneath your feet. On the heel, you’ll find custom “405” artwork, marking the 20th anniversary of Go Skateboarding Day and paying homage to the spirit of unity and freedom within the skate community.

While the shoe celebrates a rich legacy, it delivers the same performance and durability you expect from the Accel OG. The triple-stitched toe cap and reinforced ollie area ensure that this shoe can handle endless kickflips and ollies, perfect for celebrating the day by hitting the streets or participating in a meetup. These shoes have been amazing so far great for skating and super comfortable for just kicking it around the house. I’d definitely recommend éS shoes, and I can’t wait to grab another pair.
