01 Description

Built on more than two decades of Accel heritage, the Accel FIT takes a familiar icon and refines it through one clear focus: fit. This next-generation version introduces the all-new FIT System, delivering a more athletic, locked-in feel while staying true to the DNA that made the Accel a staple of skateboarding.

Designed to sit between classic bulk and modern precision, the Accel FIT offers a snug, secure feel that moves naturally with your foot. An internal bootie construction wraps the midfoot and forefoot, reducing slippage and creating a closer connection between skater, shoe, and board.

Closed-cell foam pods in the tongue and heel eliminate dead space, while hidden internal lace loops allow for added lace protection and an even more secure lockdown. In high-wear areas, a triple-stitched ollie pad and reinforced heel with molded TPU support provide durability and stability where it matters most.

Underfoot, a full-length EVA midsole and removable EVA insole deliver cushioning and impact protection for long sessions, while the 400 NBS rubber cupsole offers reliable grip, boardfeel, and longevity.

A refined evolution of a true classic. Familiar at first glance, but tuned for modern skateboarding. The Accel, perfected through fit.

Reviews

Customers praised the shoe's exceptional comfort, support, and quality, with many calling it their favorite. The innovative heel bumps and internal sock liner provide excellent foot integration. However, some noted the shoes are "incredibly stiff" requiring a lengthy break-in period, and offer less cushioning than originals.

  • 10/10 comfort and 10/10 support. break in instantly. super high quality.
  • This might be my favorite shoe ever. Good board feel, back ankle support is amazing!
  • The heel bumps are a great innovation! One of the best integrations with your foot.

New FIT tech is Soo good..!! 💯

I was skeptical on the accel fit at first, but had to have a pair to see for myself, they did not disappoint!! Such a dope shoe and super comfy, that bootie and inner molds help lock your foot in!! Now if we can get size XXL in the new release tees I'd be even more hyped!!! The BéSt... éS!!

Perfect Accel upgrade I was hoping for

Athletic fit and feel. Locked in heel, comfy tongue and great flick. Skates really great, became my favorite shoe after the first sesh and about 10 sessions in holding up great. Compared to the OG, the Fit looked a little pointy/long at first but got used to it really quick. Factory finish on the outsole was kinda slick but broke in super grippy and was perfect during 1 sesh.
Easily my favorite fitting shoe no pun intended. Compared a NB 1010, it’s way better true to size fit and locked in heel. I like it more than the OG and Slim by a lot, and I liked skating both of those shoes too.

This shoe is excellent right out of the box! I usually stick a beefier insole in my skate shoes but not with these. They have great board feel with feeling protective at the same time. Would and will buy again.

Fit says it all

I've never skated an Accel before and thought it was about time! I grabbed the fit because I like the internal sock liners in other shoes that I've skated and I'm very happy with how the Accel Fit wraps around your foot. The heel bumps are a great innovation! This shoe has one of the best integrations with your foot I've experience and is right up there with the DC Mike Mo. I haven't skated them yet so I can't speak on durability and grip, but I'm hopeful they will be a great skate shoe.

Got these because they were on sale. I'm a fan of the OGs, but figured for more than half off these were worth trying. I'm not overly disappointed. I'll wear them, but I'd rather be wearing my OGs. These are less bulky and lighter, but they are less supportive and have less cushioning. The two sets of loops on them do make for easier lacing. In my case, I was able to do a more intricate pattern because I had double the holes to play with (3 toned checkerboard. :) )

Sick upgrade of the accel

Had my very first session with them , fit is amazing. Heel lock is perfect , the Sole remembers me at the G6 Reynolds which i was a big fan of. This is realy good work, i will buy a second pair.

Stiff

These shoes are incredibly stiff. They have double foxing tape. These will take at least a few weeks to break in. All that being said the fit is nice and you can tell these shoes will last much longer than my accel slim mids but is it worth the long break in period? Only time will tell. Buyer beware. The accel slims take about a week to break and you can triple that for the accel fit.

FAQ

01 Do éS shoes fit true to size?

As they are designed with a medium-width profile, most éS shoes fit true to size with a classic skate fit-secure in the heel with room for natural movement in the forefoot. Models like the Accel and Swift are built on legacy éS lasts, while newer silhouettes may feel more streamlined. If you prefer a tighter performance fit, you can size down ½ size.

02 Are éS shoes good for impact skating?

Yes. Many models were built using STI Energy Foam midsoles, high-rebound insoles, and supportive cupsole construction and we are always developing technologies for the future. These designs originated from the golden era of technical skating and have been refined to handle modern impact demands.

03 Why does éS focus on engineering?

éS was founded to advance skate footwear. In the 90s and 2000s, the brand set the benchmark for technical design - clean silhouettes, smart overlays, better impact protection, and shoes built to progress skateboarding. Today, that same engineering mindset underpins every new model.

04 What materials do éS shoes typically use?

Full-grain leather, suede, synthetic reinforcements, breathable mesh, and high-grip rubber. Materials are selected for the blend of durability, performance, and feel needed for technical skateboarding.

05 How do I choose between éS shoe models?

All éS shoes use cupsole construction, but each model offers a different mix of support, boardfeel and durability. Classic styles like the Accel or Swift are stable and durable. Modern models focus on lighter weight and impact protection, while heritage remasters keep original design DNA. Choose based on whether you want more support or a more responsive feel.

06 What technologies do éS shoes use?

éS shoes use skate-specific construction features for durability, comfort and performance. These include cupsole construction, reinforced ollie zones, triple-stitched toe caps, rubberized overlays on high-wear areas, hidden lace-loops, molded EVA or E-Bound foam insoles for impact protection, breathable mesh panels and high-grip rubber outsoles.

07 How durable are éS shoes?

Durability is engineered into the build: reinforced ollie zones, rubber overlays, triple stitching, and high-abrasion materials. Cupsole models provide long-lasting outsole integrity, while selected vulc models use wrapped foxing for wear protection.

08 What makes the Accel an iconic skate shoe?

The Accel is one of the most influential shoes in skateboarding history - known for its clean design, durable cupsole, and balanced boardfeel. It became the standard for technical skating in the mid-to-late 90s and continues to influence modern éS design today.

09 Are éS shoes made for skateboarding?

Yes. Every éS shoe is designed for technical skateboarding, from tread patterns to foam systems to wear zones. éS was founded to push skate footwear design forward, and that engineering-first mindset guides every model we release.

10 Cupsole vs vulcanized - what’s the difference?

Cupsoles offer more support, impact protection and long-lasting stability - central to éS heritage and seen on icons like the Accel and TJ Rogers. Vulc styles deliver immediate boardfeel and flexibility. Both are engineered specifically for technical skateboarding; it comes down to your skating style and preference.

11 Which pros skate or wear éS shoes?

éS has been worn by many of skateboarding’s most influential pros, including Eric Koston, Tom Penny, Chad Muska, Bob Burnquist, Rick McCrank and Ronnie Creager. Later generations included Paul Rodriguez, PJ Ladd, Rodrigo TX and Wade Desarmo. In 2025, éS introduced the TJ Rogers pro model, continuing the brand’s long tradition of supporting elite skateboarders.
