Menikmati Collection
In 2000, skateboarding felt like it was expanding in every direction at once. And right in the middle of that moment, éS released a video called Menikmati. This is a curated selection of shoes our team skated throughout that video including color-ways the skated in the video, and some newer Menikmati inspired colors, too.
FAQ
01 Why does éS focus on engineering?
éS was founded to advance skate footwear. In the 90s and 2000s, the brand set the benchmark for technical design - clean silhouettes, smart overlays, better impact protection, and shoes built to progress skateboarding. Today, that same engineering mindset underpins every new model.
02 What materials do éS shoes typically use?
Full-grain leather, suede, synthetic reinforcements, breathable mesh, and high-grip rubber. Materials are selected for the blend of durability, performance, and feel needed for technical skateboarding.
03 Are éS shoes good for impact skating?
Yes. Many models were built using STI Energy Foam midsoles, high-rebound insoles, and supportive cupsole construction and we are always developing technologies for the future. These designs originated from the golden era of technical skating and have been refined to handle modern impact demands.
04 How do I choose between éS shoe models?
All éS shoes use cupsole construction, but each model offers a different mix of support, boardfeel and durability. Classic styles like the Accel or Swift are stable and durable. Modern models focus on lighter weight and impact protection, while heritage remasters keep original design DNA. Choose based on whether you want more support or a more responsive feel.
05 What technologies do éS shoes use?
éS shoes use skate-specific construction features for durability, comfort and performance. These include cupsole construction, reinforced ollie zones, triple-stitched toe caps, rubberized overlays on high-wear areas, hidden lace-loops, molded EVA or E-Bound foam insoles for impact protection, breathable mesh panels and high-grip rubber outsoles.
06 How durable are éS shoes?
Durability is engineered into the build: reinforced ollie zones, rubber overlays, triple stitching, and high-abrasion materials. Cupsole models provide long-lasting outsole integrity, while selected vulc models use wrapped foxing for wear protection.
07 What makes the Accel an iconic skate shoe?
The Accel is one of the most influential shoes in skateboarding history - known for its clean design, durable cupsole, and balanced boardfeel. It became the standard for technical skating in the mid-to-late 90s and continues to influence modern éS design today.
08 Do éS shoes fit true to size?
As they are designed with a medium-width profile, most éS shoes fit true to size with a classic skate fit-secure in the heel with room for natural movement in the forefoot. Models like the Accel and Swift are built on legacy éS lasts, while newer silhouettes may feel more streamlined. If you prefer a tighter performance fit, you can size down ½ size.
